First, "success"? I think that's an overstatement.
Second, no TV in real time, yes. But Tivo? Well, let's just say a book-club member happens to be at home during the day eating lunch and making sure staples stay in a cat's stomach. She might happen to fast forward through an episode of the Amazing Race to see all the lovely exotic locales. But she would never contemplate entering herself in said race, or try to convince her husband "we could do such a better job than that! America would love us and our witty banter! Who doesn't want a million dollars?" Certainly not.
And by the way, congratulations to you, Dr. Maud Lyn!
